A climate risk assessment tool for financial institutions

Aim: (i) identify and quantify farmers exposure to climate risks and ii) implement measures to reduce this exposure. To achieve this, intermediate objectives are to  i) analyze the correlation between climatic indicators and both production and financial indicators, and ii) develop a model for the appraisal of investments with the capacity to mitigate in productive and financial terms the aforementioned exposure.

The new drivers of the rural exodus in Brazil and the impacts on the labor market inequalities: the interrelation between environmental, social and economic factors

Aim: to analyze the interrelation between the dynamics of the rural population, environmental vulnerability and socioeconomic inequalities. It analyzes the contribution of social, economic and environmental variables as drivers of the new trends of rural migration in the Brazilian territory, as well as the consequent impacts of this rural exodus on the labor market inequalities.
